Interesting… the charger doesn’t appear to be Micro USB or USB-C.

I think you have it POWERED at all times.
From what I gathered is that it has to stay plugged in all the time. The internal battery is not meant to power the device, but rather allow you to charge up your cell phone while it’s being used with the speaker
