Yeah, backpacking is allways a trade of between taking nothing with you because of the weight, and take a lot with you for conveniece.
Solar panels may be an option if you have a base camp.

A few years ago solar got much better, the panels performance and weight improved.

A solar panel weighing 478g gives a decent 5V 2A 10W output in good conditions so you do not need to base camp you can unfold it an hour or so at start and end of day and any lunch stop, so you’re talking say 20Wh a day when sunny, your typical phone needs 10Wh a day so you can handle the cloudy days via storing up energy in a 10000mah in the sunny days. I did that for 4 days to test with a power socket in a pub as Plan B and didn’t need to plug in, the 10000 never got below 3 of 4 lights full.
