Yes came here to visit a customer. My conference is in Wiesbaden (near Frankfurt). Yesterday I and wifey took train ride to Koblenz and stopped at Rudesheim for a few hours. It was awesome experience. One thing we noticed is that food is extremely good in Germany and cheap as well.

Dont forget the beverages!
In Rüdesheim and along the whole Rhine river you have to test the white wines. 
(Much better than testing batteries !!! )
The tour along the Rhine by train is fantastic.
Castles left and right and as far I see you were lucky and had sunny weather.
Makes the whole journey much better!

This Rhine valley is one of the parts here in Germany with the most sun.
So the wine is growing there and its really tasty.
White wines : Mosel, Saar, Ruwer and Rhine.
Red whines not so often.
Some in Baden Würtemberg, they started growing there in the last decade.
Not bad, but I prefer the french and the portuguese of course.
