Monitor not working with USB hub! Any advice?

Help! Can anyone advise me on this:

I have a Mac Mini using a Dell P2415Q monitor. I also have an Anker 7-Port USB hub plugged in. All was fine but in recent weeks the Dell has not been getting a signal from the Mac. After trying to isolate the problem I’ve found out that it’s when the hub is plugged in that the monitor doesn’t work.

I should add that this is only on startup. Once everything is working fine I can plug the Anker back in and all’s ok.

Yes, the obvious solution is to unplug the Anker each time before starting the Mac. But apart from that is there anything anyone can suggest?
