Li-Polymer Battery

Not sure if this question has been asked already but I was wondering about Anker’s choice in going primarily with Li-Ion batteries as opposed to looking at Li-Polymer batteries as the other option.

I know they both have their own pros and cons but I wanted to know the thought process in their decision to stick primarily with the Li-ion battery packs.

Edit: On second thought, they could also be 3.8-3.85v Li-ion batteries as well, haven’t seen a teardown of their newer power banks.

I believe Anker is starting to use Li-Po batteries in their newer power banks. The PowerCore II 10,000 & 20,000 are rated at 3.85V and are slimmer, but, longer than their previous generation of portable chargers.

Ah, thanks for the input, hopefully we can get an official response from Anker!

Good luck getting an official response. I’d say they prefer to go to Li Poly but they have supply issues.
