How is Bass Up activated on Motion Q speaker?

It is always on!

As @joshuad11 stated, with the Motion Q, bass up is always on. It’s this way by design, as it has two active speakers and two passive radiators that enhance the bass line

You could use an equalizer app to customize your sound.
