Galaxy S8 May Support Quick Charge and Power Delivery

After doing some research on the charging tech the Galaxy S8 uses, I cane across this article that supports the idea that it may have power delivery compatibility, meaning it would fast charge over products like the PowerCore+ 26800 PD.

Maybe Samsung doesn’t include this in the official specs sheet (it simply states fast charging) because it’s not technically compliant? This world of USB-C and Power Delivery is getting very confusing. Maybe it’s good Anker is taking it slow and not releasing a ton of products products that are compatible with a very select few USB-C devices.

What do you guys think?

Touched on in this thread;

The samsung S8 has PD and Q.C. 2.0 from my understanding

Is there something about USB-C not officially being compliant with Quick Charge or not?

I think it’s down to the speed of the lead? Even USBC to USBC can only be a 2.0 and therefore won’t fast charge.
