Eufy Cam 2 + Homebase 2, Facial Rec/AI

Hello,

I have recently purchases the Eufy Cam 2 with Homebase 2, I was looking forward to utilising the AI / facial recognition capabilities however I can’t see where to set them. If I go in to settings > smart detection it shows information about smart detection (including facial recognition) but there is nowhere for me to ‘set’ anything. Is this normal? I read on one post that Homebase 2 (unlike Homebase 1) doesn’t support AI ? I will be pretty disappointed if this is the case as Eufy Cam 2 is quite expensive and, as a successor one would assume is more feature rich than the previous version… is this correct , and if so is it possible this will change with a software update?

Yes, only HomeBase 1 supports AI.

Unlikely, but I can’t completely rule that out.

I would email support@eufylife.com… maybe, just maybe they could exchange you HomeBase models. It’s at least worth a shot!
