I can already see it: Apple releasing the specs to a few chosen partners - such as Belkin - and then, when the specs are available to all manufacturers, the next iPhones will come with USB-C ports.
Still, Anker would be profiting from all those who wouldn’t be upgrading their iPhones just yet - like me!

USB-C, we have all been hollerin’ this for months if not years.
We want to see Type C in everything.
Still not quite sold on this idea just yet. I do believe a fast charger will be included in the box, though.
I don’t think we’ll see either…
Same here. I might upgrade this summer, but it’ll probably just be the Xs and I’ll stick with that for a long time after.

I am aware when they first released to 3rd party but it’s been over half a year and no words from Anker but Belkin’s product is now out!

I already bought two from unlicensed 3rd party manufacturer and they work great with my mbp and iPhone.
