We have wireless inductive chargers although these must be plugged into a source of power to work
Why don’t we have the true wireless chargable device the have the built in battery to really charge wirelessly?

Yes, there are options out there. RAVPower makes one that I know of.
These options exist.
When I investigated the main issue is that wireless is inefficient, power is lost so you’re good situation when it is mains powered becomes a bad situation when battery powered.
To use a battery-wireless-phone is dumb. Best is battery-cable-phone.
