I heard there was issue with the operating system of android tv and that the capsule 2 was better overall.
Not aware of any such issues
Capsule II has Android 9.0 and Capsule Max has Android 8.1, and these work fine.
Nebula team has been pushing new updates with enhancements / Improvements.
Let us know the exact issue you have concern about and we can help you.
Also support@seenebula.com can help.
@jpitman I’m with @Shenoy and say go for the Capsule Max, its a great projector to own and use. I have one and love it.
I owned the Max, there was nothing I could not do. Android is more open and more flexible than Android TV.
Of course final decision is going to be skewed by price and there is a rolling set of discounts so whichever is best value changes. But if price is not a factor then there’s no software downsides of the Max.
Be aware though the brightness. The Capsule range max ANSI 200 (the Max model), but the Mars range goes up to 500. The physically smaller projectors are less bright and so work better is dim rooms. Some people have such dim places and like the Capsule range for simplicity and portability, others need. Others don’t and need brightness.
Hey @jpitman
Guess what… there is a promotion / discount on Nebula Capsule II if you want it!
thanks for the reply! I went ahead and ordered the capsule 2. we plan to use it in our backyard and we have a lake house with a nice plain wall in the backyard to sit outside and have movie nights.
