Anker PowerCore 26800 to HP Pavilion x360 Convertible

I am curious if this power bank can be used to charge this laptop.

Thanks for response.

Does that laptop charge via a USB-C port?

If so, the power bank you linked to will likely charge it, but it will be much faster if you use this one, which I reviewed here.

If it does not charge via a USB-C port, it is unlikely that any of Anker’s power banks will be able to provide a solution.

It looks as though it can, I managed to find some more detail here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05530677
1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data up to 5 GB/s, Power Delivery, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only); 1 HDMI; 1 headphone/microphone combo

Don’t believe you can charge via USB-C, only deliver power to attached devices. The charge port looks like a standard charger socket, not USB-C.

I have the PowerCore 26800 in my possession now, and my employer wants to hand me an X360 before I leave for the middle east in a few days. Very short notice. So long as this works, although slower, I think I a should be ok for the time being.

So I just got off a chat with HP and this is what they said.

System: “Hello! My name is Kendra. I’ve read your question and am ready to assist you.”
Jeremiah Sams: “Can the following model be charged via the USB-c port? HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-br077nr 15.6” 2-in-1 Laptop Computer
Agent (Kendra): “Let me check this out for you.”
Agent (Kendra): “I am happy to inform you that you can charge this laptop via USB-C port. You can check this link for more information: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05530677

Great news! Then the PowerCore 26800 will work, just slow. If you ever look on upgrading, check out the PowerCore+ 26800 PD or the PowerCore+ II 10000/20000 by the end of the year!

If you are using a USB3 to USB-C cable, in theory you should be able to charge then. You will be looking at around x4-5 longer charge time as the 26800 can only output 10w per port (from memory) and the device normally requires 47w for charge,

I would test before you leave for the middle east though…

You would definitely want the PD option!

Yeah it sounds like I may need to get the PD. Good info from each of you. I really appreciate it.

The PowerCore+ II 20000 (coming later this year) is rumored to have 45W output, which will be about as fast as the max speed!
