I live in “silicon valley” the issue is plain noise from every house having Wifi, the lots of land are not square which causes houses to be longer in one axis so you’re forced to have a noisy Wifi part of the house.

There are only so many Wifi channels, is part of the problem.

In reality the Eufy implementation works well enough, I program the smart plugs to turn on/off at pre-determined times and that works, it is the use of when I want to communicate realtime with the plug is where Wifi enters the problem.

Tell me about it I live in San Mateo in an apartment complex seems every unit has WiFi now a days 5mhz is just as bad. That’s why I found it necessary to use repeaters to keep to signal strong. Directional can-tannas also work well and can be a fun learning experience for those of you with little ones.

At least some people know that it is better to on the frequency instead of effecting other channel.

Not really, the way Wifi works now is it spreads out and aggregates across multiple frequencies, what you see is the central frequency. If you do manually change to appear to “help” you are actually making the congestion worse.

Oh, and that commercial at the bottom of the screen… unlock, root, xposed, minminguard

Odd that Eufy does not merge powerline with smart plug so it uses the electrical cables with sending messages. Next innovation?

I have older power strips abd new ines that use a similar rocker switch and they tend to do the same thing, shut off power before the switch is fully off. I am asumming that is why most power strips have a circular or a hard click rocker style switch as to prevent this kind of issue. Imo, it’s not that big of a deal and I consider it more of a safety protect feature than anything else. Like I said I have older and newer strips that have similar buttons and they operate the same and have never caused any issues for me

It would seem from Anker’s reply that it is designed so sensitively like that to allow shut off as quick as possible???

The surge protection should kick in despite any action on the button but understand that a cable could be pressing down on the power button and it would turn the unit off which is where the real issue is i believe and that shouldn’t happen.

I have one. It’s a little heavier than a normal power strip but that’s to be expected because it’s got the capacity of 3-4 traditional ones. I like the arrangement of the outlets makes it possible to arrange different types of cables and AC adapters. I don’t really use the USB ports because I’m using Anker wireless chargers that run at 3amps. These are only 2.1amps. It’s a great upgrade!

I saw this on the Power User page for a coupon code which saved you $10. I will eventually get one or two of these.I love the idea built in power IQ ports. I have one in my amazon cart to buy when I have the money. My product review would say "Cost effective NO BRAINER "

Not sure why everyone keep putting USB plugs on these. 12 plugs + USBs seems a little more then I would ever need. I love the way the outlets are are turned to fit plugs however.

Given that many families have and utilize multiple plugs for their devices, using sine thing like this can help eliminate all the added plugs and frees up additional space for other things. Not to mention sometimes these type of plugs with usb ports provide a faster charge than the standard plug in they are using.
