Anker 3.0 5 port + galaxy s6 = 4 hour charge time

I am wondering if there is something I need to change on my phone to get this to work. Every time I plug it into one of the 2 blue QC 3.0 ports on the charger it says that I should plug it into the original charger to charge faster then gives me a very slow charge time…4-5 hours. If i plug it into a quick charger from samsung I get about 1 hour at the most. I have checked and the time is actually even longer…it took 8 hours to get to only 75% last night.

Oddly if I first plug it into a Samsung quick charger, then unplug and quickly plug into the Anker…boom quick charging. So i am wondering if I am missing something. Have tried several cables both Samsung branded and generic…no difference. Any ideas?

Wow if I were in that situation I wouldn’t have thought of to quickly swap ports to gain the quicker charge.
I hope this isn’t like an Apple situation where the phone marks it as an unauthorized charger it unless a certain signal is received or something.
Have you tried it with any other QC adapters?
